Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of diverse communities. People who have never heard of it often confuse it with a separate island facing west. It is often cited as the location of birth of Amanda Brugel but while that may be true, her time there was short. Brugel developed on Courtice close to Oshawa within Ontario. At the beginning of her life, she wanted to be the next big thing in her career, but a sudden increase in her height made it difficult. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed her height in heels as six feet and one inch tall. After I outgrew the male partners, I quit. A lot of dancers go from dancing to acting. As for Brugel, it was her drama instructor who pushed her into this path. Teacher who recommended she try getting a part in the school's annual production. Following a trial her options, she was eventually the leading lady for Anne of Green Gables. The Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she was a theatre student and earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel has been involved in more than 60 shows, big and small. Most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel, the only Canadian in the Season 1 actors of the series as well as appearing only on occasion, was the sole Canadian.
