HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to aid him in making an HGTV audition tape which showed his and Christina flipping a house from the beginning to the end. Pie Town Productions' executives took possession of the tape. The executives were obsessed with Tarek & Christina. The couple in 2012 reached a deal with HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. In seven seasons, the show aired from 2013 to 2017. Christina and Tarek from the show, who were in the series, would purchase houses, usually moderate-income houses located in Orange County. Tarek is focused on demolition and renovation while Christina is focused on designing while also making sure the project is on time.

The program "Flip of Flop" began its run on April 13th, 2013. Between 2013 and 2017 the show ran for 92 episodes over 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek from the series, were able to acquire homes - typically houses belonging to the middle class in Orange County - and spend many months reworking them in order to make them sell for a higher price.
